Seascape Belgium, partner and lead of the communication work package in the new AQUARIUS project, joins the online kick-off meeting

23 April 2024

The four-year Horizon Europe project AQUARIUS officially kicked-off in March 2024, and will bring together 57 leading Research Infrastructures in Europe, covering the most critical marine and freshwater systems in Europe, to facilitate a more holistic approach to research and innovation that contributes toward achieving healthy and sustainable marine and freshwater ecosystems. The objective of AQUARIUS is to support the development phase of the EU Mission ‘Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030’, the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership, the European Green Deal, and international climate initiatives. It will also be an essential component in achieving the European Digital Twin of the Ocean and the UN Decade for Ocean Sciences (2021-2030).

Seascape Belgium will lead the work package on Impact: Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication, striving to maximise the impact of the AQUARIUS project by ensuring effective Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication (DEC) of the project’s activities and its results. This work package designs, develops, implements and updates the DEC strategy for the project, supporting effective stakeholder engagement and participation.
