The Decade Coordination Office(DCO) for Ocean Data Sharing (DCO-ODS) has officially entered its next phase on 3 February 2025, scaling up its operations and strengthening the engagement with Decade Actions through various channels, including the Community of Practice (CoP) and other targeted activities.

Building the Digital Replica of Our Seas: DTO-BioFlow Project Launches Second Open Call to Address Critical Marine Biodiversity Data Gaps

DTO-BioFlow project has launched its Second Open Call, inviting international networks, citizen science groups, research institutes, universities, and NGOs to help establish long-term biodiversity data flows to the European Digital Twin of the Ocean (EU DTO) through EMODnet Biology. Successful applicants can access up to €60,000 in funding. The call is open until February 28, 2025, at 23:59 CET.

The four-year Horizon Europe project AQUARIUS officially kicked-off in March 2024, and will bring together 57 leading Research Infrastructures in Europe, covering the most critical marine and freshwater systems in Europe, to facilitate a more holistic approach to research and innovation that contributes toward achieving healthy and sustainable marine and freshwater ecosystems.
